Albania today takes over the presidency of the Security Council in New York.

The 30-day presidency ceremony will be addressed by Prime Minister Edi Rama, who was preceded by a meeting with the organization's secretary general, Antonio Guterres.

Our country has joined the United Nations Security Council, as a non-permanent member where it has also assumed the responsibility of co-host with the United States, on the issue of Ukraine.

Albania in the Council has shown determination alongside the US in leading the council with several resolutions on Ukraine.
