Prime Minister Edi Rama, during an interview with Italian media Rete 4, explained that the immigrants' agreement with Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni came very naturally and emphasized that the words that have been spread that only men will come to Albania are not true.
Rama described the agreement as "very careful" and "with attention to the people, who will also be the subject of this operation in the future".
According to Rama, the agreement includes everyone, but excludes only pregnant women and children from operations. Despite what was said before that only men would come to Shengjin.
"Even in Albania this misunderstanding has been created, which would be fair if it were true", said Rama.
"I thought that the debate would be calmer in general, both in Italy and in Albania. But this is not an accord of capitulation, or an invasion, it is not an accord that is made without measuring capacities and possibilities".
For Rama, it is more than normal to have skeptics, as in everything, since in the end this is the essence of democracies in Europe.
Above all, according to Rama, it should also be understood that Albania is not doing this for any benefit, much less monetary, where not a euro, "but not a single lira has been requested by Albania from Italy".
Everything, as he explained, is only about the fact that Italy needed help today and that Albania has a duty to help its neighbors, who did so much earlier for the country and the Albanian emigrants.
Rama once again commented on the statements of the Italian socialist brothers who have positioned themselves against this agreement.
And placing the equal sign between the position of the Italian left and that of the Albanian right on this issue, Rama asks that in both countries political beliefs are not used to evaluate it, but that it be seen objectively as a fair solution as he claims that it is.
