Sali Berisha
The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha , has confirmed the name proposed by the DP for the People's Advocate.
Berisha said that Besim Ndregjoni is the candidate proposed by the DP.
"The DP has candidates including the president of the Union of the Politically Persecuted, Besim Ndregjoni," Berisha said during the press conference.
We recall that other candidates who have applied for the position of Ombudsman are Vitore Tusha, Bledar Dervishaj, Tartar Bazaj, Besim Ndregjoni, Dardan Mustadaj, Edison Frangu and Erald Aga .
The position of Ombudsman is held by Erinda Ballanca, who was elected Ombudsman by the Rama - Basha agreement in 2017, while her mandate ended in 2022.
