As has become a tradition, Prime Minister Edi Rama has launched the 'Eye to Eye' column with his followers on social networks.
"We have very positive news, Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos has stated that she congratulates Albania and the RMV for the speed in receiving funding from the new growth plan.
Speed in the financing plan means fulfilling the agreed tasks and program for the country's further progress on the path to membership, and it is about 64.5 million euros coming directly from the EU to Albania.
"30 million euros are for the state budget as support for reforms and 34 million euros go to the Balkan Investment Fund for infrastructure. So I believe it is another clear sign of the fact that we are moving quickly according to the pace set for EU membership," said Rama.
Prime Minister Rama also shared a survey recently conducted by the EU, which shows the support of the union's countries, the greatest support since 1983, when this survey began.
"I want to start with a survey recently conducted in the EU, where there is a very surprising result for some and not at all surprising for others, that for the first time since this survey was conducted in 1983, when this survey was conducted, there is a record 74 percent of the EU bloc that believes that their country has benefited from the EU, and that believes that today, there are other reasons to support the EU.
35 percent of supporters of this very significant measure of support for the EU cite peace and security, which is in fact the reason why I am repeating to you every day why the vote on May 11th has a specific and important geopolitical weight to guarantee the peace and security of our people in the EU.
Another 34 percent, as the first reason, cite the increase in cooperation between countries that directly strengthens the economy. This blue is the support of the EU country by country, unseen since 1983. They are in massive agreement that the presence in the EU is a guarantee of peace and security. Those who say that we need the EU, today more than ever we need the EU and we need the EU.
