Today's decision of Enkelejd Alibeaj to expel from the parliamentary group four PD deputies, all strong voices in the Assembly, was almost a bolt in the sky. Tritan Shehu, Oerd Bylykbashi, Belind Këlliçi and Agron Shehaj, according to Alibeaj's decision, are no longer part of the Parliamentary group of the Democratic Party starting from tomorrow, as the parliament has not yet convened in the new parliamentary session.
"News24" has learned that this decision of Alibeaj has come at a time when the majority of the parliamentary group has collected the signatures for his dismissal as group leader and the election of Ervin Salianji.
Likewise, it is learned that among the signatories are neither the leader of the PD Sali Berisha nor the MPs previously excluded from the group. Alibeaj, after becoming aware of the movements that were taking place within the group, announced the departure of 4 DP deputies, in order to make it possible to destroy the numbers that would lead to his departure.
But the majority of the DP group dismissed and appointed Salianj without signing the 4 expelled deputies and without the signature of Sali Berisha.
Since the 40 members of the parliamentary group had already collected the necessary signatures of the DP deputies.
According to the announcement, Alibeaj's decision came after the deadline, also declared today, of 1 year for public distancing from acts of violence in DP on January 8 of last year.
But this was apparently just an excuse for Alibeaj, who, seeing the danger for the only position he holds in the DP, has decided to leave the group of four deputies.
