Bilal Kasami, head of the Besa Movement in North Macedonia, while he was invited today to "Zone Zero" with journalist Thimi Samarxhiu in Top News, spoke about the rejection of Prime Minister Edi Rama's invitation to the meeting of all the heads of Macedonian parties. He stated that there are several reasons that have brought this decision.
"The citizens of North Macedonia are very tired of the 20-year rule of DUI. They appreciate this meeting as an attempt to save Aliahmeti and DUI once again.
We estimate that the moment is not suitable for the Albanians of Macedonia, also because in another meeting, of the same format in Tirana, which for the sake of truth should not be open to the public, since that photo echoed a lot big here and the platform was never implemented because of the resistance from our fellow Macedonians. There were also reactions from Macedonian parties, because it was interpreted as a statement by Tirana, which is not in the interest of North Macedonia or to the detriment of Macedonian citizens.
It also brought reactions from internationals, our friends, such as the USA or European countries, and was interpreted at certain moments as the intervention of the official Tirana in Macedonian internal politics.
We thought that this call for a meeting should not be open to the public" , said Kasami.
