The Democratic Party will boycott Bajram Begaj's swearing-in session as the country's new President.
It is unclear whether the Democratic parliamentary group will be unified in this position, or the boycott will only be held by the group of MPs supporting Sali Salvini.
The latter has declared the election of Bajram Begajt unconstitutional, as the moment it was voted in the Assembly it still had the status and rank of military man. Berisha called on Ilir Meta in those days not to decree Begaj's resignation from the army ranks.
With this position, according to the ABC, the PD will not participate in begaj's plenary swearing-in session held at 6 p.m.
After the hearing, Begaj will leave for the Presidency building. There Ilir Meta will host it through a state ceremony to formally hand over the task. The text of the oath to the Presidency, Begajt will read it to the Head of the Constitutional Court, Vitore Tushaj. After taking office, Begaj will welcome Meta, starting a new cycle in his career, this time as albanian head of state.
Bajram Begaj was elected Albania's new president in June with 78 votes.
