DP demands the dismissal of the President, Bardhi: There are serious cases of violation of the Constitution

The Democratic Party has filed a request in Parliament for the dismissal of President Bajram Begaj, as it claims he has committed two serious violations of the Constitution.

The head of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, spoke at a press conference today, saying that Begaj does not govern independently, but acts based on orders received from the country's Prime Minister, Edi Rama, referring here to the decreeing of elections for the Tirana municipality or the virtual minister Diella. 

Among other things, Gazment Bardhi said that Begaj's son, while he is abroad studying, is employed at an insurance company in Albania.

" The Democratic Party of Albania (DP) announces that it has filed a request with the Assembly to initiate the parliamentary procedure for the dismissal of President Bajram Begaj for serious and continuous violations of the Constitution."

The request is drafted with voluminous material that analyzes, along with relevant evidence, all the violations committed by the president.

We are also convinced that Begaj can no longer continue to be the de jure head of state and representative of the people, which he has in fact lost de facto long ago. After an exhaustive analysis, we have come to the conclusion that the president has committed 7 serious constitutional violations.
