Democratic MP Tomor Alizoti requested the Assembly to resume the first parliamentary session to discuss the government's program. This request was rejected in the Assembly with 73 votes against.

Alizoti stated that debate is the main pillar of democracy and the Parliament and that discussing the government program is also a need for the citizens of Albania.

" The debate is the most important point that is in the government's major interest. Let's discuss it, it is also important for those who watch us. I have read the program and I have seen very few words about depopulation and none about Kosovo."

Democracy lives from debate. Bring back the first session, which is the pillar of the Albanian parliament. Listen to our criticism and if it is inappropriate. We are close to the EU but very far from practicing democracy. The parliamentary session cannot be closed for emotional reactions. You cannot close the session because you or your leader are upset. Criticism develops the parliament ", said Alizoti.
