Grenell "revolts" with Von der Leyen: Your court has been keeping

Richard Grenell, US President Donald Trump's special envoy for global crises, has sharply criticized European Commission President Ursula Von der Leyen following her visit to Kosovo.

Through a post on the X platform, Grenell accuses Von der Leyen, as head of the highest European institution, of remaining silent while the Hague Court has been holding former Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi in prison for 5 years.

"Your Hague court has held President Thaçi for 5 years. How can you dispense judicial advice to any country? You stood by while Jack Smith arrested a sitting President, just because he was going to meet Donald Trump to create a peace deal that included the dismantling of Jack Smith/the court's work. It is shameful how the media has ignored this political prosecution," Grenell said.
