Today, the Democratic Party submitted to the Constitutional Court the lawsuit for the project of the Port of Durrës.

In a statement to the media, PD MP Oerd Bylykbashi said that the deal for the Port of Durrës is a corrupt mega-affair and such a robbery of public property for private interests.

He said that the port is an asset for the country and cannot be taken away from the citizens of Albania.

"The biggest corrupt mega affair in the history of Albania, an affair cooked up in secret. Such a robbery of public wealth for private interests under the guise of strategic investors but with offshore companies

We hit it in the Constitutional Court. We hope that the court will stay at its true level to protect the public interest.

Only one individual, Edi Rama, can do this by giving concessions to individuals and companies without taking Albanian law into account. We attack this by taking it to the Constitutional Court.

We strike in the interest of Albanians. The port is an asset for the country, foundation for a 3 thousand year old city. It cannot be taken from the citizens of Albania", he said.
