The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, says that the closure of "Voice of America" ??by an executive order from Donald Trump is not censorship, and according to him, it is even "anti-censorship."

Berisha said this immediately after a protest against the closure of TikTok in Albania ended, for which he accused the government of exercising censorship.

But when asked about Trump's order, Berisha made a comparison, stating that even if "Albanian Radio Television" were to close one day, there would be no problem, as long as there are private televisions.

"My comment is this, during Trump's first term, regardless of what the propaganda says against him, not a single journalist has been punished. The most beautiful speech he has made has been the speech about censorship, the guarantee he gave that there will be no censorship.

"The closure of Voice of America is a matter of global geopolitics, they consider that excessive propaganda should be avoided. It has nothing to do with censorship. Tomorrow it may be decided to close the state television, but if private televisions have all the space, there is nothing," said Berisha.
