The head of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, commented on the protest held today in front of the Prime Minister's Office, where the Democrats demanded the removal of Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, who has been named a defendant by SPAK in connection with the Llogara tunnel.
Bardhi emphasized that Balluku is today the most powerful figure within the government and, according to him, represents the axis of the majority's corrupt affairs.
"It's not the Rama government, it's the Balluku government. Today we have the Belinda Balluku government," he said, underlining that her influence on governance has surpassed any other cabinet figure.
According to Bardhi, any legal development that affects the deputy prime minister constitutes a direct shock to the entire government.
"I believe that the fall of the deputy prime minister is a blow to the majority and the government of Edi Rama," he said, adding that Balluku "has executed every corrupt affair of this government."
Bardhi went even further, considering her responsibility closely linked to the prime minister himself.
"Her fall is the de-facto fall of Edi Rama's government. That's how I see it, given the power she has and the amount of affairs she has had together with the prime minister," Bardhi told News24.
