Defense Minister Pirro Vengu says that the authorities will assess and compensate for any damage caused by the fires in the country.

He says that the process of assessing the damages and preparing the lists for the compensation that will be carried out by the civil protection fund will be prepared by the respective municipalities.

Weng's message:

The assessment and compensation of the damages caused by the fires will be carried out in each affected municipality, according to a special procedure, which starts with their identification by the Determination Group for the inventory of damages, established by order of the Mayor.

This group carries out the inventory of damages to housing, infrastructure, businesses, agricultural crops, mechanical tools, socio-cultural objects and fills in the forms with the financial costs.

Then, the municipalities prepare the lists for the damaged entities and the relevant documentation and after the financial assessment each municipality determines the cost of compensation, which is carried out by the funds of the affected municipality, through the Civil Protection Fund.
