In the letter where Blerina Balaj announced her resignation from the position of the commanding mayor of Himara Municipality, you could hardly find anything true in terms of the reason for leaving.

The decision that she justifies for " personal reasons that require her time and full attention ", is in fact an act forced by the political dome of the Socialist Party and Edi Rama himself.

At the end of the meeting on May 24 in Himare, where Rama gave the next propaganda show of the distribution of ownership certificates and in a way formalized Vangjel Tavo as his next candidate for that municipality, a meeting was held with the local SP structures -'s.

There, in harsh tones, the prime minister himself addressed Blerina Balaj with the words " get the husband together... " and went on to unmask the commanding mayor of Himara in front of everyone, that she had sent him several messages for the approval of the construction permit.

In addition, Rama accused her that her husband was abusing the position of the woman mayor in the area for benefits in a conflict of interest.

At one point, Balaj briefly responded to Rama, asking him to leave the meeting if necessary, but the prime minister did not allow him to leave.

Clash with prefect Vangjel Tavo

The same well-informed source told Lapsi.al that Blerina Balaj's husband had a verbal and almost physical clash with prefect Vangjel Tavo, whom he saw as an obstacle in the administration of the temporary power that his wife had taken.

The event was also reported to the Prime Minister, which then brought about his "explosion" in the meeting that day in Himara.

In that tense meeting, Edi Rama asked Blerina Balaj to appoint as deputy mayor Arqile Bollanon, who held the position of director of Public Services in the municipality and was one of Jorgo Goros's close people. Meanwhile, Bollano is also under investigation by SPAK for abuse of public funds.

The appointment of Arqile Bollanos as vice president was a pure calculation by Edi Rama so that when Blerina Balaj was forced to resign, he would be the commanding president of Himara. Of course, this is a decision of the Municipal Council, where the SP has the majority and is expected to approve him on Friday as temporary chairman.

After Balaj signed Bollano to the position of vice president, Lapsi.al learns that Edi Rama sent Damian Gjiknuri as a courier to Himare to tell her to declare her resignation……….. Gjiknuri because Balaj had been a man by his side during the time when he was the political leader of SP in Vlora.

The order came from the Prime Minister's office, and Balaj did not even have the courage to oppose it, so today she officially signed her resignation.

Rama's move is simply enough to buy time until the fall when early elections are expected to take place in Himare, where he has probably hinted that he will run for the former deputy of the LSI, Vangjel Tavo, who after the appointment as prefect of Vlora has moved to one of the luxury resorts in the area.

There is little hope that the Court of Appeal will overturn Fredi Beller's first-instance conviction and pave the way for his swearing-in as mayor. Beleri himself, meanwhile, is expected to take the mandate as a member of the European Parliament of the New Democracy in Greece from prison./ Lapsi
