A new platform for all those who want to be part of the selection of socialist deputies in the upcoming elections. Prime Minister Edi Rama announced this during his speech at the Assembly of the Socialist Party, where he focused on the July 20 Congress.
Without giving too many details, Rama said that the platform will be similar to that of the past elections, but broader.
"At the Congress, we will also present the new platform for the selection of deputies of the Socialist Party. Starting from the experience of the past elections where we created a digital platform called the MP we want and collected a significant number of expressions of interest to be part of the process. Some of the young people who appeared on that platform became part of the electoral lists but for the next elections, the platform will be wider and will see a more articulated process and it is good to give it the necessary time until the time when the final selection will be made".
According to Rama, the Congress will deal with the general situation in the country and the work for the fourth mandate in view of Albania 2030.
"Beyond the election of the new National Assembly, the congress will also have to deal with an overview of the general situation in the country, designing the work for the program of the fourth mandate in function of the Albania 2030 vision. For this, a special group will be engaged , but at the Congress, a summary overview of the situation in relation to Albania 2030, where we are and where we will arrive, will be made".
