"Let people drink coffee in peace" - Zegjine Çaushi worried:

Socialist Party MP Zegjine Çaushi expresses concern about what she calls the normalization of hate speech and the climate of public lynching.

According to her, publishing a video or photo is enough for insults and negative comments to erupt on social networks, which, she says, are organized by people who aim to spread hatred.

"It is unacceptable that hate speech is becoming more and more normal. All it takes is one video or one photo and immediately there is an outpouring of insults, insults and negative comments from people who know nothing else to do but attack and spread hatred, because that is what they are asked to do by those who direct them," Çaushi writes.

She further addresses negative comments towards businesses, emphasizing that they harm not only the owners, but also the employees and the country's economy.

"Recently, a climate of public lynching has been created, where businesses are targeted with organized comments and their reputations are damaged."

"When a business is attacked, not only the owner is harmed, but also the people who work there, their families and the Albanian economy. But you don't understand this, because you don't think about Albania and Albanians, but only about your personal interests," she said.

Çaushi also criticized verbal attacks on citizens who choose not to participate in protests, emphasizing that freedom of choice must be respected.

"Citizens are insulted and insulted just because they choose not to join a protest. No one can be denied the right to drink a coffee, to walk down the boulevard, or to go about their daily lives just because they don't think like you," the MP declared.

At the end of her article, she also has a message for the protesters, making it clear that they can never be the new Albania they want to bring.

"Protest is a right and must be respected. But equally, the right of every citizen to choose for themselves, to move freely, and to live without pressure or intimidation must be respected."

"The new Albania is not built with hate speech, lynching, attacks on businesses and pressure 'for prison' on citizens. You can never be the new Albania you claim to bring," concluded Çaushi.
