Prime Minister Edi Rama and Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku and Minister Delina Ibrahimaj are presenting the measures for the energy crisis.
In a media conference, Rama, Ibrahimaj and Balluku are showing what are the measures that the government will take to deal with the energy crisis.
Prime Minister Edi Rama has emphasized at the start of this conference that the package is conceived as medium-term support, not as temporary support extending over one, two or three months.
"What will the government do to continue support in this global crisis situation that has affected the whole world and of course Albania too. I want to be as concise as possible.
I will suffice to say that the package is conceived as medium-term support, not as temporary support spread over one, two or three months. We have taken into consideration the fact that this crisis is of an unpredictable nature when it ends. Our commitment is to give people medium-term support and to intervene in a number of directions."
Balluku announced the day before that the Albanian scenario does not include the interruption of electricity after 10:00 p.m. Meanwhile, a few days ago, Prime Minister Edi Rama warned that in the worst scenarios in Europe, power outages were expected after 10:00 p.m.
The current energy stock market has been hit hard by the war in Ukraine, where prices have reached staggering figures.
