Requested suspension of detention terms, request for Ilir Meta's release rejected!

The Special Appeal has rejected the request of Ilir Meta , who had opposed the first instance decision to suspend his pre-trial detention. 

The trial panel has upheld the decision of the Criminal Court of Kosovo (GJKKO) to suspend the detention terms of the former president and leader of the Freedom Party.

Meta had challenged the decision in the Special Appeal, requesting its annulment. With today's decision, his request has been rejected.
