The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Beirsha, told the Speaker of the Assembly, Niko Peleshi, that he would be leaving his post, but without mentioning the name of his replacement.

"Niko, here's your deputy, there you have it. Niko, I told you that you have your deputy ready. Yes, yes, they will remove him too," Berisha said in his speech in Parliament.

In recent weeks, two ministers in Rama's cabinet have been replaced by the Socialists. Evis Sala resigned from the post of Minister of Health and was replaced by Klodiana Spahiu, while Besfort Lamallari was dismissed as Minister of Interior to be replaced by Ervin Demon.
