The opposition requested the majority to establish an investigative commission on KAYO's activities.
At the conference of chairmen, the chairman of the DP Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, claims that the KAYO company has spent 34 million euros.
"Every investigative commission aims to gather information. Otherwise, what would the commission be for? In the request, we have provided all the information and indications. It is a fact that KAYO has so far spent 34 million euros from the state budget without producing anything. We do not know what the state has benefited from? What activity has it been involved in? It turns out that the only winner of this money is Ron Yefet, a friend of the Prime Minister.
This is clearly evident in the audio recording and this audio recording was confirmed by the company where the recording was made. The truth is that the individual Ron Yefet behaves as the Minister of Defense and openly says that there is arms trafficking. It is clear that arms have been sold to countries in conflict. We have called the minister to questioning and he said that the company has produced arms and sold them. Then the deputy minister comes out and says that they have not been produced. So, the truth must be learned?!
34 million euros have been spent. You also told us about the incinerators, but it turned out that the money was burned in the square. We have been asking for information from the Ministry of Defense for so long. No information is given. The minister refuses and for this I have addressed the Speaker of the Parliament. What should we do, go into the ministry and get the documentation?
For this reason, the investigative commission is needed, because it is subject to the Criminal Code if information is not provided. We do not ask for anything else, except to learn and recognize the contracts concluded between a state company and a private company. How did KAYO find the individual Ron Yefet? What is the CV that this man has, besides the fact that he is a friend of Edi Rama? How does this man benefit from 34 million euros in just 6 months?
"We are open to the subject of the investigation. Tell us what you want us to fix. The establishment of the investigative commission does not need your permission, the Constitution gives us that. We can only discuss the subject of the investigation ," said Bardhi.
