The meeting of the regulatory commission at the CEC, where the proposal to extend the voting deadline in 55 Voting Centers in the Vlora District was to be reviewed, has failed due to the "Giro d'Italia" sporting event.

The failure of the meeting occurred due to the lack of a quorum to consider it, after two opposition commissioners abandoned the session.

Meanwhile, the members elected by the majority continued to remain in the hall, but without the necessary quorum to make decisions. The chairman of the meeting, Ilirjan Muho, explained that without a quorum, no further proceedings could be taken.

This situation marks the failure of the attempt to extend voting hours in the Vlora district, where problems were identified in several voting centers.

Consequently, the closing time at those centers remains unchanged, according to the initial decision of the CEC.

"I call on the citizens of these 55 centers to create opportunities to vote, even in conditions of lack of accessibility, " said Ilirjana Nano.
