"You hid the 'Balluku' file!", Peleshi responds to Shehaj: The materials were received by the MPs who are members of the Mandates Council

Mundësia Party MP Agron Shehaj requested the file of Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, accusing the majority and other opposition parties of protecting her. Shehaj said that they have locked the file and have not given it to all MPs.

But, the Speaker of the Assembly, Niko Peleshi, said that the file is an investigative secret and by order of SPAK, distribution is not allowed, but only members of the Mandate Council have received it.

Shehaj: We have sent you a request regarding the Belinda Balluku file, a month ago you received a file from SPAK that you were given to forward to the deputies that we should vote on lifting the immunity. You locked this file in a safe, you shared it with a group of deputies, who have not said a word about this file. You have disappeared, you have shared it with each other and you are sharing an accused who has abused the funds of the Albanian state. You are the only Speaker of the Parliament who has hidden a file of the Deputy Prime Minister. It is your duty to ensure transparency. Albanian citizens must know who he stole from, how he stole. Enough of protecting the corrupt.

Peleshi: It is not true that the materials and evidence have been included, they have withdrawn it according to the rule and law against the declaration for maintaining investigative secrecy, presented by SPAK, all members of the Mandates Council. It is this council that reviews the materials and presents the reports to the session. The report includes all opinions. You vote after listening to the prepared report. They should not let it out that it is an investigative secret. There is an order not to publish the materials.
