The leader of the Democratic Party , Sali Berisha , has described the clashes during yesterday's rally between protesters and officers as a well-organized scenario by the State Police, where, according to him, the latter threw tear gas at each other, in order to put them in the ambulance as if they were asphyxiated.
In a press conference, Berisha stated that at the Trauma Hospital, where he said he had been himself, there were no injured personnel.
"I was at Trauma myself, they announced that 7 police officers were at Trauma, not a single one was. The staff informed me that 5 police officers had been sent there without any problems, they had no concerns. They had left as they had come. It was all a scenario," he said.
Berisha further thanked the media which reported minute by minute the primary and powerful protest in Tirana.
Berisha: The other dark side of this scenario was the game with stretchers and police officers. They were gassing the police officers themselves and putting them in the ambulance as if they were asphyxiated. Evidently. I myself was at Trauma, they announced that 7 police officers were in Trauma, not a single one was. The staff informed me that 5 police officers had been sent there without any problem, they had no concerns. They had left as they had arrived.
It was all a scenario. No one was injured, they were sent just to complete the scenario. Since it turned out there wasn't one and I reported them, they gave a statement that they were taken to two hospitals. No police officer was injured.
I am grateful to the media that reported minute by minute this primary and powerful protest in Tirana, and I am grateful to the international media that were in absolute pursuit of this revolt and echoed it around the world.
All of this proves that it is the opposition people who will overthrow this narco-dictatorship. February 20 is the day that Albanians are eagerly waiting for, like their watch, history is waiting for them.
