The leader of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, has reacted from his cell to the third opposition protest in front of the prime minister's office and parliament, which was accompanied by tensions and the use of Molotov cocktails, tear gas and water cannons.
Expressing gratitude for the citizens who took to the streets, Meta says that today Edi Rama's "narco-regime" was shaken, while adding that the police cannot save the prime minister and that he will be held accountable.
"Gratitude and thanks to thousands of patriotic Albanians, who with courage and dignity gave strength to their revolt and shook the rotten Narco-regime today."
Their voice is the voice of hope, of freedom, and of an Albania that does not give in. The people are awake, determined, and ready to defend democracy, freedom, the rule of law, and the future of the country at any cost.
The criminal narco-police, which behaved like animals with protesters and journalists tonight, not only cannot save the Head of the Mafia Organization, but will answer to the fullest extent of the law and the people. Victory belongs only to the brave!”, says Meta.
