"We don't have a party, but a political barracks", Bamir Topi:

Former president Bamir Topi, during his speech at the dialogue table called by the head of the Democratic Party Lulzim Basha, compared the consensus reached in recent days between the majority and the opposition to that of 2008 .

Topi said that they are the two protagonists of 2008, Edi Rama and Sali Berisha , while regarding the latter, he said that he was burdened with endless accusations during his government.

According to him, the parliament has significantly reduced the quality of work and, according to him, the time has come for pessimism to explode. The DP must open a new path, added the former president.

"We have a political party that is no longer considered a political party, but a political barracks, where the rule does not work. We have a parliament that has significantly reduced its quality, both in representation and mission. It has fallen under the prime minister's hoof.

Today everyone is able to take stock of that situation. Undoubtedly, one is worried, today we have a different picture. After 16 years, we have the two protagonists of 2008 and both are in trouble, the former prime minister, who was burdened by endless scandals during his government. The main attack is on the institution of elections, therefore this table is important to focus on public pressure. I think that the time has come to speak the big truths in the parliament. The Assembly needs to hear true things.

The task of DP is to open another path, not a path of those people who have nothing to do with democracy. We have gone too far into pessimism, we must explode. It must explode first within the parties and then in society. The Electoral Code must bring about free and fair elections," said Topi.
