Former Socialist Minister of Finance, Arben Malaj, believes that Prime Minister Rama has lost the battle with the protesters, despite the strategic document he presented on Friday, christened "Besa".
"These government officials themselves should reflect. But how can the public administration react only when there are protests? They are citizens of this country. They are affected just as much as any other citizen by misgovernment. The only ones who are not concerned are the patronageists, those who have turned a blind eye to abuses and who benefit from the incessant theft."
"Now Rama has remembered to mention the administration so fearful. In my opinion, he should have reformed and reorganized it a long time ago, in a legal and orderly manner," Malaj told A2.
According to Malajat, Rama has nothing more to do.
"From a human point of view, I have nothing personal with him, but from a political point of view, using the metaphor often used in politics, Rama is politically dead. He has reached the lowest point of his relationship with public opinion," Malaj said.
"Let's leave public opinion aside. It's enough to look at the international media, which analyzes developments in Albania."
In an almost unified manner, the French media, the American media, the media of neighboring countries, as well as those of important European Union countries, including the German media, present the situation in Albania as a "Flamingo that lit the fire". But the real fire is the popular hatred of misgovernment", he added.
"Rama cannot manage this situation. He cannot quell popular anger through propaganda or political control. In fact, if we look at the police response during the recent protests, it has been completely inadequate."
