Marjana Koçeku stings Edi Rama: People who have no idea what a besa is

MP Marjana Koçeku, who left the Socialist Party, commented on the strategic document "BESA", which Prime Minister Edi Rama presented yesterday to members of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group and members of the Government Cabinet.

Openly criticizing the socialists, Koçeku wrote in a Facebook post that there are some people who talk about the besa and do not know what it is. According to the MP, the besa is an unwritten contract between people and is a natural contract.

" Our ancestors were not lacking when they gave their word and pledged their allegiance to the land, the valley, the mountain and the stone. These were not simply the decoration of the pledge, but its witnesses, its very substance. They knew that a person cannot pledge allegiance to another while breaking their allegiance to the place where they live ," she writes.

She further emphasizes that according to canonical customs, the besa is tied to places such as churches and towers, due to the spiritual connection that these buildings have.

People who have no idea what a besa is talk about it.

First, a covenant is an unwritten contract between people, and being unwritten, it is a profoundly natural contract.

Our ancestors were not lacking when they gave their word and pledged their allegiance to the earth, the valley, the mountain and the stone. These were not simply the decoration of the pledge, but its witnesses, its very substance. They knew that a person cannot pledge allegiance to another while breaking their allegiance to the place where they live.

Secondly, those who see land only as land for multi-story towers and resorts can hardly understand this concept that for us mountaineers is extremely sacred. That is why we do not sell the land and the tower.

Of course, the besa can also be given in luxury towers and resorts, but it is not a besa. Because until now we have seen this type of besa mainly only in movies with mafiosi and financial speculators. We know how they end.

Thirdly, I know well from the code of the highlands where I come from that, even when bloodsuckers or people of crime, when they want to close their problems, apart from the law, wherever they are in the world, even though they may have built luxurious towers or live in resorts, they are obliged to come and beg for allegiance to the old tower of their ancestors, to the log or to the old church of the village.

Why? Because that's where the old spiritual connection they've lost is. Only there do they have the chance to become human again.

Therefore, people who lose their connection with the land, their place, and nature cannot be trusted!
