History of the DP Russian Lobbying Dossier

On November 14, 2017, Stonington Strategies reported to the Department of Justice that it received two payments from the Democratic Party totaling $500,000 and a third payment from Biniatta Trade LP in the amount of $150,000.

But who is behind the company "Biniatta Trade", which turns out to be a ghost registered in tax havens, and what does it have to do with the Russians?

In a long investigative article about these payments to Muzin Capitol, the American magazine Mother Jones raised suspicions that after part of the payments made by the company "Biniatta Trade LP" based in Scotland, for lobbying activities in favor of the DP before the elections of 2016 in Albania, there were Russian businessmen.

None of these payments are declared in the financial report submitted by DP to the Central Election Commission for the June 25 elections, raising doubts about the origin of the money and leading to the initiation of investigations by the prosecution.

Then the prosecution withdrew from the charge of money laundering and the Court dismissed the case filed for falsification of documents against Lulzim Basha, Arben Ristan and Ilir Dervishaj regarding the payments to the firm Muzin.

The former chairman of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, gave different explanations for the 500,000 dollar payment, saying at first that it was given by the Albanian-Americans, but then he said that "What did the lobbyist do and how did he do it?" the lobbyist knows it. They are relations of the Muzin company with third parties".
