The Democratic Party has submitted official lists to the CEC, where in the relevant document some of its candidates on the closed list appear registered as representatives of allied parties.

This maneuver aims to benefit from public funds allocated to parliamentary parties.

Names included:

Debar

• Denisa Vata: Head of the DP branch in Mat. Registered as a candidate of the Legality Movement Party.

Tirana

• Klevis Balliu: Head of Organization in the DP and political leader in Unit 3. Registered as a candidate of the New Democratic Spirit (FRD).

• Besart Xhaferri: Chairman of the FRPD. Registered as a candidate of the Balli Kombëtar Democratic Party.

Shkoder

• Greta Bardeli: Current DP MP. Registered as a candidate of the Christian Democratic Party.

Vlore

• Atird Hoxha: Head of the DP branch in Vlora. Registered as a candidate of the Balli Kombëtar Party.

Purpose of the Scheme

All of the above candidates are clear representatives of the DP: Greta Bardeli is a current MP, Besart Xhaferri heads the party's youth forum, while Klevis Balliu emerged from the DP primaries.

This maneuver aims to benefit from public funds allocated to parliamentary parties.

After the elections are over, with the election of these individuals as MPs, the parties they formally represent will automatically benefit from the government budget for parliamentary parties.
