The Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime has officially clarified the initiation of investigations into former president Ilir Meta.
In a reaction to the media, SPAK clarifies that the investigation started after a report made by the former opposition deputy, Halit Valteri.
The latter filed a report on 07.06.2022 against Meta and the leaders of LSI.
"Based on the interest of many journalists at SPAK, regarding a request that SPAK addressed to the CEC, we clarify that that request is part of the investigations being carried out by the Special Prosecutor's Office within the framework of the criminal proceedings registered on the basis of the report of citizen Halit Valteri. "We do not have any other information to give. The investigations continue," announces SPAK.
