Greek justice has confirmed the 4-month prison sentence of the Mayor of Kuçovo, Kreshnik Hajdari.

Through the return of the answer by registered letter, the Ministry of Justice has made available the decision of the court of Ioannina, where Kreshnik Hajdari was criminally convicted in 1999 for the charge of "entering the Greek territory illegally".

Based on this new development, on Tuesday, November 14, the Central Election Commission is expected to hold a public discussion session regarding the investigative material sent by the Decriminalization Office to the General Prosecutor's Office, regarding the self-declaring subject Kreshnik Hajdari of the Socialist Party. .

Meanwhile, in SPAK, prosecutor Dritan Prençi continues the investigation against Kreshnik Hajdar, for the charge of "Forgery of the self-declaration form".

Although the investigations started 5 months ago, SPAK still has not come up with a final conclusion on this case, similar to other precedents that SPAK and the Central Election Commission have investigated.

The name of Kreshnik Hajdari is among the names of 18 convicted persons, Albanian immigrants who were caught by the Greek Police and sentenced by the Ioannina court.

But the fact that he did not mention the punishment in the self-declaration form, Hajdari risks losing the right to stay as the mayor of Kuçovo.

The decision for the punishment of the mayor Kreshnik Hajdari was given in 1999 by the sole judge of the criminal court of Ioannina, Nicolaos Raptis. The judge found him guilty and initially sentenced Hajdar to 4 months in prison and then converted this sentence to 1500 Dhrami, a currency that was used in Greece at that time before the introduction of the euro.

This sentence was not declared in the self-declaration form by Hajdari.

As a result, the "Together We Win" coalition and the residents of the village of Lumas in Kuçovo, have mobilized the General Prosecutor's Office, the CEC and the SPAK Special Prosecutor's Office to investigate.

Requesting from these institutions the removal of the mandate of the Mayor, due to the legal, criminal and moral inadequacy of this official.
