The former Minister of Justice, Ylli Manjani, says that the decision of the Elbasan Court to destroy the wiretapping of six years ago for a politician named Taulant, was hasty. Referring to the chronicle journalists and the public number in the investigative file, it belongs to the socialist Taulant Balla. Even the opposition last week accused the latter in the Assembly.
According to Ylli Manjani, the rush to delete something new that came out of the investigations, raises doubts that there was "something compromising" in the interceptions.
"Destroying the wiretaps for the politician Taulant, only a thug can do that, not a justice. It is impossible to reason like this, these materials must be included in an investigative file, which becomes judicial. When the court takes a final decision, it decides what to do with these materials, to destroy or not.
These, without having a decision, have rushed to do this. Why they are in a hurry is clearly understandable because apparently it is a number.
The Achilles heel of this story is the prosecution, the link that connects the police and the court, the link responsible for the investigation. You start an investigation, something new came up along the way, the rush to delete this thing, the suspicion arises that there was something compromising. The material was very compromising and they deleted it. With the deleted materials, you cannot open a process against this person, 399 because if it is Taulanti, this was the purpose of not opening a criminal case.
This case accidentally came up in a courtroom. But here the reasoning and investigations for this matter should be deepened a little. A policeman in the west, in any country working independently of the government, would investigate, investigate further. This is the difference between a democratic order and an order like ours", said Ylli Manjani on SYRI TV.
