Ilir Meta and Petrit Vasili have made a request to SPAK, where they ask for permission to meet the former candidate of "Bashke Fitomje", Fredi Beleri, in prison.

Dear Ms./Mr. Prosecutors ! We, co-investigators Ilir Metaj and Petrit Vasili, in the capacities described above, present to you this request to give us permission to meet with Mr. Fredi Beleri in the premises where he is under arrest. The arrested person in question is a representative of the "Bashke Fitojme" Coalition, in which the Freedom Party also participates. Hoping and believing in the consideration and acceptance of this request, we thank you! ", it is stated in Meta's request.

Beleri has been sentenced to 2 years in prison by GJKKO for buying votes in last year's local elections.

He was arrested on May 12 in his bar, when he was offering money to buy 8 votes for 40,000 ALL.

we remember that a few days ago Ilir Meta met Petro Beleri, Fredi Beleri's father, in Himare. 

While in an interview with the Greek media Kathimerino, he said that "Fredi Beleri is a political issue and according to him it proves the seizure of justice by Edi Rama".

Asked if he sees Fredi Beler as innocent, Ilir Meta answered: "I believe he is the legitimate mayor of Himara, elected by the people, confirmed by the election process and based on the Constitution, nothing prevents Beler from taking the oath."
