Gazment Bardhi has responded to Lulzim Basha's accusations that the amnesty will benefit the corrupt convicted by GJKKO.
Ironically, Bardhi said that it is good news that Basha was awake at 08:00, while emphasizing that no corrupt official is granted amnesty.
"The good news is that Basha was awake at 8 o'clock. Today is an important day for the Assembly, as the prime minister should have been there to give an account of the Xibraka file, but he has decided to violate the constitution. As for the amnesty, in this case the group DP has taken care that the draft that is voted for amnesty this year is the same as for the previous drafts even when it was voted by Basha, with two or three differences that we have presented. No member of crime benefits from the amnesty from the draft, unlike what happened in in 2014, where by Basha's vote there was amnesty for members of organized crime. No official convicted by GJKKO benefits from amnesty, thirdly, unlike what was done all the other times, all the cases of protesters of opposition and civil society who benefit. I want to emphasize that there is no corrupt official. No politician benefits, no corrupt high official.
We will propose that it be included in the agenda, because the situation in the Assembly has exceeded any limit of consideration in the plenary session.
According to the analysis made by our experts, SPAK and GJKKO are new, they do not have final decisions. It does not appear that any corrupt official will benefit. As for the cases that are under investigation, there is a clear prohibition that any entity that declares assets does not benefit from the suspension of criminal prosecution or the suspension of trial. We make sure that no corrupt official benefits.
This matter was dealt with in the morning, to avoid attention from Olsi Rama and Xibraka.
