The Minister of Justice, Ulsi Manja, reacted after the PD parliamentary group decided to support the amnesty.

He emphasized that he will get the votes of all deputies in the Assembly, while adding that he was delayed like never before by the turbulent political agenda.

"I welcome the decision of the opposition to finally approve the Criminal Amnesty, which was delayed like never before by the murky political agenda that took hostage this constitutional act of state mercy, harming nearly 700 beneficiaries of this amnesty.

I found with particular satisfaction that the opposition supported the version of the amnesty proposed by the Ministry of Justice and the Albanian Government, where there was no mention of the amnesty of the subjects of SPAK and the Special Court.
Recently, I cannot hide my satisfaction that, as I publicly declared to the media before the Assembly - when the confusion of a part of the parliament made the amnesty seem hopeless - the Penal Amnesty will receive all the votes of the deputies!

It's not for nothing that the people say, the patient wins, and let this positive development also serve for those who no longer have to run away from the work desk, to take short cuts that lead nowhere and, as a conclusion, to succeed while returning to the table", writes Manja.
