The Assembly has exhausted the first round for the election of the new President, as the parties have not submitted any candidate name for the head of state.
Klotilda Bushka read the report before the Assembly, where she said that the voting is considered complete even when there are no candidates, thus concluding the first round of elections without candidates.
The next day the Conference of Mayors will convene to determine the date for the second round, which can not be held beyond the 7-day deadline from today.
The SP prefers May 20 for the second round, while the DP demands the 7-day difference between the rounds to be held because they do not yet have any proposed names and also emphasizes the need for more time in the consultations.
In the first 3 rounds, the President is elected with 84 votes, while in the last two rounds 71 votes are enough.
