Edi Rama is re-elected as Prime Minister for the fourth time

The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, has just mandated Edi Rama for the fourth time as Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister arrived at the Presidency just moments earlier, to request from Begaj the mandate of the new government, as required by protocol.

Initially, the procedures require that the Secretary General of the Socialist Party submit the name of the prime minister, in this case Edi Rama, for mandate.

Then it is Prime Minister Rama who, after being nominated, presents the names of the new cabinet to the Presidency, which Rama has done today.

Once the president receives the request, he has 6 days to issue the decree and will have to issue individual decrees for each of the ministers one by one.

Then, after the confidence vote session in Parliament, the swearing-in ceremony of the new government cabinet will take place in the coming days.
