Hundreds of hard-line nationalists and supporters of Russia gathered in Belgrade to protest against Serbian authorities and dialogue with Kosovo. Amid cheers, "'Serbia, Russia'" or "we will not hand over Kosovo", the protesters asked the government to withdraw from the negotiations for the Franco-German plan.
In the demonstration organized by the far-right group "People's Patrol", symbols of the Russian group Wagner and the letter Z, a symbol of the Russian occupation of Ukraine, were also seen.
The participants chanted insulting slogans against Vučić, whom they called a "traitor", while evoking Russia's message to Kiev, to issue a warning to Kosovo.
"What do we think about the Franco-German proposal? We prefer Russia... This year in Kiev, next year in Prizren", declared the leader of the "People's Patrol", Damjan Knezevic.
Members of the Serbian gendarmerie prevented the violent demonstrators from entering the presidency. Previously, the crowd removed some of the barricades placed in front of the building, and fired eggs. They then rushed to the main entrance, as they said to deliver their demands to Vucic, the main of which is the termination of the dialogue with Serbia.
"If you are afraid of riots, I swear to you, we are prepared for more than that," Knezevic continued.
President Aleksander Vucic vowed that the state will act quickly and efficiently against violence.
Belgrade's number one spoke after a meeting with the security services.
"The state will not allow bandits and extremists helped from outside, either from the West or the East, to threaten the constitutional order," he declared.
