The European People's Party (EPP), which represents in Brussels various center-right and moderate right-wing parties, seems to be paying maximum attention to the situation in the Democratic Party of Albania, which is part of this international organization.

At the PPE Congress to be held on 31 May and 1 June in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, part of the discussions will be the disruption of the PD. Sources for the media suggest that three PD deputies have been invited to participate in the two-day congress. These are Jorida Tabaku, Bleind Këlliçi and Albana Vokshi.

Referring to the invitations made, it seems that the EPP refers to the Democratic Party of the first 8 months and does not take into account any developments that took place in this period, except for the fact of the resignation of Lulzim Basha. This is easily noticed for the fact that the invitation went to Jorida Tabaku, who is the vice-president of the Democratic Party with a specific task for foreign relations. Also, the invitation is for the leaders of the two partner organizations of the Democratic Party: for Albana Vokshi as president of the DP Women's League and for Belind Këlliç as the president of the Youth Forum of the Democratic Party.

However, it is worth mentioning that the three deputies are not on the same side, as Belind Këlliçi and Albana Vokshi, after the clash with Berisha Basha, positioned themselves in support of Berisha, while MP Tabaku remained in the parliamentary group, not joining Berisha's movement. called the "Foltorja".

Currently the statute and seal of the DP is in court and it is unclear who will be its de facto leader. The position to be held for the DP will be discussed on May 31st. Meanwhile, on this day is expected to be elected President of the EPP where the candidate is Manfred Weber, currently chairman of the European People's Party in the European Parliament and MP of the CSU in Germany. Meanwhile, on the second day of Congress, the secretary general and vice presidents will be elected.
