'The battle continues', the heavy arbitration bill, 380 thousand euros

The Albanian government has been forced to pay 380 thousand euros in 2021 to face Italian businessman Francesco Becceti in the Court of Arbitration.

The amount turns out to have been transferred to the Ministry of Tourism and Environment from the state's reserve fund, which should actually be used in cases of natural disasters.

However, according to official data, the payment was made to a law firm in order to cancel the arbitration decision, which belongs precisely to the owner of Agon Channel, a television station that was closed after clashes with the government. So far, the Albanian government has not made any public material on the issue.

But through the data of the high control of the state, it turns out that after leaving Albania and after winning the arbitration trial, Becceti undertook the blocking of the accounts of the Albanian state in Eurocontrol.

Even just last year it was said that he had managed to get over 20 million euros, while he claims that he has earned about 130 million euros from the Albanian state.

Only after that Becceti was sentenced by the Albanian court as it is known that he found refuge in England. However, apart from paying off the obligations for the court decisions, other payments were given to the firm and the lawyer.
