During his speech to the Democrats, former Prime Minister Sali Berisha stated that he has not spoken these days as he has been under house arrest, due to his flu condition.
He even emphasized that he will never take the flu vaccine again, which according to him was imposed by the government.
"I haven't communicated because of the flu, I will no longer take the vaccine imposed by the government! This is divine battle. A warm greeting to you here for coming here to this protest, but greetings to Democrats and Democrats wherever they are today. Greetings to the opposition people, I sincerely wish you success in our battle without return, in our battle for victory. Today or never! Albanians on their feet. My friends, these days we have not had a voice communication with you. I guarantee you that it was absolutely not Edi Rama's decision that interrupted the communication, but it was a flu condition that required me to take care of it. It went great and I'll tell you something.
All my life I had taken the flu vaccine, but when the authorities started to impose it on the citizens as in dictatorships, I gave it up and I will never do it again. My friends, Edi Rama in his ugliest tradition, in the tradition of his executioner father, who as the spokesman of Ramiz Ali and Nexhmije Hoxha, signed the hanging on the rope of the free speech of the immortal poet Havzi Nela, ordered his mercenaries to interrupt Sali Berisha's communication with you. But I will confess one thing to you. I and each one of you have two Constitutions. Our conscience is the supreme constitution. It is divine, it is earthly. We obey her, just like God, and so I guarantee you that Sali Berisha will accept and do only what is in your interest, in the interest of the democrats, in the interest of pluralism, in the interest of Albania," Berisha declared from the window of his apartment.
The Special Court Against Corruption and Organized Crime ordered Berisha to communicate only with his roommates. The former prime minister did not follow this order after giving a speech with a microphone for about an hour in front of dozens of democrats.
