Air base in Kuçovo, Niko Peleshi: Everything can be expected from the
Niko Pelesi

NATO's tactical air base was opened today in Kučovo.

The Minister of Defense, Niko Peleshi, said that "today, we officially declare the reopening of the Kuçova airbase, one of NATO's biggest investments in Albania. It will serve as a technical airbase".

"Let me express my thanks to everyone who worked to restore the NATO air base to its full glory. Thanks to everyone for your presence and help. March 4 will be engraved as the day when American and Italian pilots flew over the sky of Kučova".

Niko Peleshi: Kuçova will serve as the main air force base, the investment will not stop until the creation of a fleet at the service of our people and allies. Bajraktar drones in cooperation with the Republic of Turkey are ready to serve in the near future. This base is important for NATO missions. The help that Albania will give to neighboring countries will make us more valuable than ever. Not more than two years ago, we did not think that Europe will face such an aggression as is happening with the Russian aggression in Ukraine. Everything is expected from the eastern front, we must be prepared to join forces and join our defense capacities. There are no big and small nations. The will to survive and dignity are worth more.
