The democratic party chairman, Lulzim Basha, has started a tour of all branches of the party, where elections are being held.

This time Basha stopped at the Election Assembly of the DP branch, Dimal, from which he did not go without commenting on the situation within the Democratic Party.

Basha said that the DP now has reason to hold its head up, as it showed that it is not a cult and clan, but a party united around values that is ready to face the next challenges, such as the 2025 parliamentary elections.

"And this is a path of no return along with the European Albania road. They delayed it, but they couldn't stop it. The path of European Albania passes between some basic principles, to achieve the well-being of European societies towards which young Albanians sadly push by abandoning their families.

To achieve the opportunities to build a successful, prosperous life, with sufficient income for Albanians, we must adhere to the minimum standards that every European society, from the founders of the EU, to the newer members such as Romania and Croatia, must be adhered to. The first standard, equality before the law. There is no contemporary, democratic society with inequality before the law. There is no society where the law treats the vast majority of society as a stepmother and a minority as mother. There is no society where tireless citizens face tribute, snarl, fines, abuse and legal punishment for violation of the law, but the biggest offenders of the law are exalted and protected with immunity, with salltanets, with pressures of the type of criminal organizations.

The end of impunity is the beginning of European Albania. That is why the DP is essential in its vision to support the Justice Reform and to SPAK. The expectations for SPAK are high. I know that the expectations of Albanians are much higher than what has been done so far and I hope and am convinced that prosecutors, investigators and judges with integrity of SPAK are also aware of this expectation.

Our task is to support in all forms and political ways to end impunity. And that is why the DP is today the only political party in Albania that says it loudly, with its forehead, openly, that supports the work of SPAK unconditionally," Basha said.
