Democratic Party leader Lulzim Basha in a statement accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of bribing former FBI agent Charles McGonigal to hit him personally but also the Democratic Party.
Basha said that the U.S. justice whitened Edi Rama's entire criminal operation with Charles McGonigal and sentenced him to two years in prison.
Part of the statement:
The country's prime minister bribes fbi chief to attack opposition leader. This kind of story has not been heard in dictatorships. It has never occurred that a prime minister corrupts the counterintelligence chief of strategic partner and ally. With the sole purpose of hitting the opposition leader and the Democratic Party.
I never thought about how far this scenario went. That the Prime Minister of my country would carry out such a criminal operation against the leader of the opposition and the DP. There were also those who joined Edi Rama. I have ignored and pitied them, calm that the PD and I were not involved in illegal things. The shame is theirs.
