Meetings with the US Ambassador in Tirana Yuri Kim are always fruitful. Cooperation with the United States of America is today at an excellent level for the benefit of democratic developments, strengthening the rule of law and the principles of the market economy, in support of Albania's membership in the European Union, maintaining stability, peace and prosperity in our region and beyond, the fight against terrorism as well as the common defensive and reactive approach to cyber attacks.
We will continue to work closely with the United States and other partners to improve the legal framework for financing political parties and election campaigns. Russia has long been involved in attacks on democracy in many countries through the financing of political parties and other actors. I remind you that in December 2019 the Assembly of Albania approved a Resolution "On foreign interference in electoral processes and disinformation in national democratic processes", referring to these threats and asking the institutions to take all protective and preventive measures.
