The General Secretary of the Socialist Party, Damian Gjiknuri, says that Erion Veliaj is a very serious SP candidate for the upcoming local elections in Tirana.
In the show Now on Euronews Albania, Gjiknuri said that Erion Veliaj in two terms as mayor of Tirana has done undeniable work in Tirana.
According to Gjiknuri, criticism towards him is more than normal if you consider the long time in office.
"Erion Veliaj is the acting mayor, he has done a lot of work. Erion Veliaj is a very serious SP candidate and comes with a baggage of achievements that make him the favorite candidate to win over his opponent", said Gjiknuri.
