The US Ambassador in Tirana, Yuri Kim, within the framework of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Albania and the United States of America, has shared a congratulation on Twitter.

Ambassador Kim says, among other things, that even in the dark days of the dictatorship, the brave Albanians kept the flame burning.

On July 28 , 1922, the USA and Albania established diplomatic relations. A torch was lit that day. Even in the dark days of the dictatorship, the brave Albanians kept the flame burning.

Today, that torch burns brighter than ever. May it light our way forward, together, for the next 100 years!

I look forward to joining Albanian friends for special events in Tirana (including tonight's concert in Skënderbej Square) and sharing special messages from American friends in Washington and Dallas (stay tuned!). Cheers to another 100!” , she concludes.
