TIRANA – To perform the services necessary for the functioning of the government apparatus, they could have chosen foreign companies, which may ultimately have more expertise and experience in the relevant fields.

But the Albanian government ministers seem to have decided, perhaps silently, that for seemingly secondary expenses, they will obtain services exclusively from local small and medium-sized companies, in order to give as much breathing space to local business as possible.   

An investigation by Patrona?isti with the help of independent economic journalist Fatush Kaçolja reveals that the case of the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, who decided to wash her car at the "Jashtë - e - Brenda" car wash owned by the grandmother of the Minister of Interior, is neither an incident nor an isolated moment.

In many other cases, ministers, deputy ministers, directors, and chiefs of staff have channeled these types of funds towards the needy, causing the funds to remain within the country.

Thus, expert Kaçolja signals that:

-The Minister of Tourism and Environmentalism takes all the clothes and dresses to the dry cleaner of the sister of the Minister of Agriculture, with a symbolic tender of 20 thousand euros per month. 

-Minister of Justice Zigzage gets his shoes shined at the shoe store of the Minister of Health's brother, for 12 thousand euros a month.

-The Minister of State for Adolescents and Pens buys all the notebooks and pencils she needs to finish her third year of college from the chancellery of the aunt of the Minister of Health for 8 thousand euros per month.

-The Minister of Economy, Culture, Innovation and Tourism gets his hair cut and shaved at the barbershop of the Minister of Justice's office, for 15 thousand euros per month.

-The Minister of Local Government, even though he has a permanent beard, has decided to buy shaving foam at the Foreign Minister's nephew's market for 5 thousand euros per month.

-The Minister of State for Entrepreneurship repairs her tights at the tailoring shop of the stepfather of the cousin of the Minister of Finance for 25 thousand euros in pesmediç.

-The Minister of Illiterate Education has signed a weight loss contract with the renowned aesthetic center "Bulmet Jugu" of the Ministry of Defense's farm, for 18 thousand euros per month.

-The Minister of Defense and Counterattack wears a fake beard to look bigger, at the hairdresser of the Minister of State for Foreign Relations, for 9 thousand euros per month.
