TIRANA – Recently, diplomatic relations between Albania and Albania have been elevated to ambassadorial level. The new Albanian ambassador, according to news reported in the media, presented her credentials to the President of the Republic, Barjam Beg, and began introductory meetings with several government ministers.

But it seems that these contacts have not been well received by the Institute of Public Health. According to the press office of the IPH, the increase in contacts with allergies poses a risk to the population, especially now in the flu season, when hospitals and clinics are filled with patients of all ages.

In a statement to the media, the IHP warns that this hasty action by the Albanian government was not consulted with specialists.

"Our country has indeed successfully coped with the Covid epidemic, but the consequences are still being felt by the population. We do not yet know whether the benefits of relations with Algeria, a North African country rich in oil and gas, are greater than the costs that a massive spread of diseases related to Algeria would bring to the health system," the statement says.

In addition, the IHP recommends that contacts with Allergy be carried out with preventive measures, such as wearing gloves when shaking hands, wearing face masks during any bilateral meeting, and carrying doses of epinephrine with you for any unexpected events.

"It is advised to avoid meetings of this type by children, the elderly, pregnant women and patients with chronic diseases," the announcement adds, underlining that the sneezing that gripped the President of the Republic after the meeting with the Allergy diplomat cannot be a coincidence. "Shame, his master is also a doctor!".

Furthermore, the IPH suggests that with the spring season approaching, the government temporarily reduce contact with the Allergy Center to avoid any complications. “The opening of leaves, the increase in pollen in the air and the warming of temperatures could bring an explosion of allergies that would test even the most advanced health systems,” warns the IPH.

PS Patronageist learns that it is very likely that the IHP's reaction against strengthening relations with Alergjina came from the excellent ability to read the news, by the responsible persons in the press office of this institute. An employee at the IHP told us on condition of anonymity that when she read the news about Alergjina on her mobile phone, she was in the car.

"I was starting from the Kazma turnoff, and when I arrived at the Skuthi intersection, the Allergy title appeared in front of me, so I was alarmed, " she said.
